Phase Forward Inc. announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2008. Revenues for the third quarter were $43.0 million, a 23 percent increase from $34.9 million in the third quarter of 2007. Within total revenues, InForm license, application hosting and other related revenues were $32.7 million, representing 76 percent of third quarter total revenues and an increase of 28 percent from $25.5 million in the prior year period. The company also noted that its customer, GlaxoSmithKline, won a 2008 Technology Innovation Award from The Wall Street Journal, taking top honors in the Healthcare IT category. OmniComm Systems Inc. announced another good quarter for new business. Signed contracts through the first three quarters of 2008, totaling $15.8 million, are exceeding projected expectations for the year. Thomas Wells, VP of technology for OmniComm, said, “OmniComm’s vision for early 2009 includes the creation of a Centralized Data Hub where eClinical services can be seamlessly integrated with our client’s systems and repositories. Clinical Trials & Surveys Corp. (C-TASC), a clinical trials solutions company, has been awarded a federal Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a first task order totaling $1.7 million from the National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to provide clinical trial management services for a study to be conducted by the Division of Epidemiology, Statistics and Prevention Research (DESPR). Throughout the study, C-TASC will use its StudyCTMS study management software solution to provide Data Coordinating Center (DCC) services, including a fully operational, state-of-the-art data management system, management of biospecimen and radiology data shipment and inventory, statistical expertise and programming and logistical support.
TAKE Solutions’ Life Sciences division released PharmaReady version 4.1 with powerful new enhancements to the web-based suite of products. The PharmaReady document management system includes virtual document workflow and interface enhancements, enhanced Office 2007 integration and support, and document owner functionality and role. The system’s electronic submissions capabilities include eCTD enhanced support for Canadian STF Submissions, enhanced Acrobat support, and support for updated eCTD guidance from FDA.
